1991: The Gryffindor first years have an Astronomy Class at midnight, on the top of the Astronomy Tower.
1993: A Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff takes place under heavy rain. While playing, Harry Potter sees a black dog in the stands. Harry then passes out after Dementors enter the pitch. Harry's Nimbus 2000 is destroyed by the Whomping Willow.
1997: Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, the actor who portrayed 11-year-old Tom Riddle in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, is born.
November 7
1995: After the Slytherin vs Gryffindor Quidditch match, Harry Potter, and both Fred and George Weasley receive a life long Quidditch ban from Dolores Umbridge for their outburst against the Slytherin's following the match. Rubeus Hagrid returns to Hogwarts, Hermione, Harry and Ron sneak out under the Harry's invisibility cloak to go visit him and find out why he had been gone.
November 81847: Bram Stoker, the Muggle author of Dracula, is born.
1991: Severus Snape takes away Harry Potter's copy of Quidditch Through the Ages because the Library's books should not leave the Library. Harry discovers that Snape has been bitten on the leg by Fluffy the three-headed dog.
November 9
1991: At eleven a.m. a Quidditch match takes place: Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. Gryffindor wins when Harry Potter catches the Snitch with his mouth. Professor Quirrell trys to jinx Harry's broom, but Professor Snape counters his jinxes and saves Harry's life.

1966: Steve Mackey: The British musician who played Donaghan Tremlett the bassist for the Weird Sisters, is born.
