1981: Rubeus Hagrid rescues baby Harry Potter from the ruins of the Potter Cottage, after the murder of James and Lily Potter. Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall and Rubeus Hagrid leave Harry on the Dursleys' doorstep. All over England, wizards and witches cheer to "Harry Potter: the Boy Who Lived". Peter Pettigrew kills muggles. Sirius Black is arrested for the betrayal of James and Lily and the murder of Peter Pettigrew and twelve Muggles. He is falsely convicted without trial and sent to Azkaban. Pettigrew goes into hiding in his Animagus form of a rat.
1994: Harry Potter writes to Sirius Black about the Goblet of Fire selecting him as a fourth Triwizard Champion, using one of the school's owls.
November 2
1994: The Fourth year Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs attend a Herbology lesson with Professor Sprout. They learn about how to re-pot Bouncing Bulbs.
1995: Educational Decree Number Twenty-Five is passed by Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge, giving supreme authority over all punishments to the Hogwarts High Inquisitor.
1959: Peter Mullan, the actor who portrays Yaxley in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is born.
