1994: Harry Potter tells Cedric Diggory about the dragons used in the First Task of the Triwizard Tournament. Barty Crouch Jr. (impersonating Alastor Moody) gives Harry hints on how to pass the First Task. The fourth year Gryffindors have an Herbology lesson concerning Flutterby bushes.

November 24

1990: Dodie Smith, the muggle author who wrote I Capture the Castle, dies.

1994: Harry Potter and Hermione Granger stay up until two in the morning practicing Summoning Charms. After lunch the Triwizard Tournament's First Task takes place.

1965: Shirley Henderson, the actress who played Moaning Myrtle, is born.
