I am currently re-reading (as the title suggests) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
The fifth book is probably my favorite of them all, and likewise, the movie adaptation is my favorite.
At the moment, I'm still in the beginning and Ron and Hermione has just gotten his prefects badge. Everyone was expecting Harry to be the prefect.
I don't really see why Ron would get the Prefects badge at all. There are plenty of other more suitable gryffindors to be chosen as prefects. Dean Thomas would've been good, I suppose, assuming that he did better in classes and is more well-behaved. But, I'm guessing that, due to Harry's reaction, J.K Rowling wanted to do this to create those feelings in Harry.
Oh well.
